Why try Telephysio?

Updated: Nov 25, 2020

Often one of the main reasons that people delay seeking treatment is because they are too busy to schedule and attend a Physiotherapy appointment. Another reason is that they do not have access. Telephysio, also known as online physio or virtual physio, is the solution to these barriers.

Providing Effective Treatment Online

With advances in technology, a registered Physiotherapist can complete a very comprehensive assessment using video teleconferencing (similar to Skype, Zoom, Facetime). Our platform can be used on a computer with webcam, tablet (ex. iPad) or smart phone (Apple or Android). We rule-in or rule-out the cause of your concerns and we work together to create a treatment plan to reach your goals. This assessment and treatment can occur at home, at work, while on vacation or even in your car (it has been done before!).

The Benefits of TelePhysio / Virtual Physiotherapy

Convenience – schedule the appointment on the same day of your appointment and avoid travelling to the appointment.

Prevents chronic issues – get seen by a practitioner sooner to prevent the issue from worsening.

Get assessed in your real environment – have a treatment plan designed for you and have your therapist watch you complete your exercises in home.

It’s effective – in several studies, telephysio has been shown to be as effective or more effective than in-person physio with high exercise adherence levels.

Use Extended Health Benefits – let us direct bill your extended health benefits provider for the cost of your appointment (ex. Pacific Blue Cross, Manulife, Great West Life, Green Shield, etc.)
